Silicon Scenery is a family-owned consulting firm based in Carrboro, NC. The owners, Kevin and Elizabeth Gunn, are long-time residents of the area. Between the two of them, they have over thirty years of experience in information technology.
Elizabeth has expertise in programming as well as data and project management. She has worked with a large variety of research teams including pediatric medical research. Elizabeth oversees the business operations of Silicon Scenery.
Kevin has been involved with technology professionally since around 1989 and has been tinkering with computers since around 1980. He has worked with clients ranging from single individuals all the way up to large hospitals. Kevin has also spent many years serving as the senior systems administrator and developer for a 300-person research institution at UNC-Chapel Hill. In his spare time he serves as a volunteer advisor to the Technology Advisory Committee for the Chapel Hill school district.
Silicon Scenery also maintains a variety of contacts throughout the area to assist in bringing expertise to our clients when some of your needs require a larger team of professionals. We have a variety of suppliers, IT experts, web designers, and marketing experts that can work with us in order to allow Silicon Scenery to be your single-source provider for all things IT.
We are in the business of providing expertise, not selling equipment or software. Yes, we will help you decide what to buy, we can purchase it for you, we can set it up for you. However, we do not mark up prices on equipment or software. We want you to know that you are paying for expertise and not sales.
